Expedition
The Vara Expedition Sock Range is our professional range and has been worn by Team ATP, winners of the 2006 Polar Challenge, a gruelling race to the North Pole. Incorporating Possum fibre with Merino into the Vara Expedition Range meant that we are able to achieve extremely high levels of warmth and support. This means that whilst the Vara Expedition Range may not be suitable for the average consumer it is perfect for adventurers that regularly face extremely cool temperatures such as Tashi Tensing grandson of famed Sherpa Tenzing Norgay who was one of the first men to conquer Mount Everest.
Endorsement:
"The VARA socks were brilliant and considerably better than the BRIDGEDALE ones we were issued as they dried faster, smelt a lot less and were a lot warmer. Simon also proved that they smell quite nice when they are on fire as he dropped a possum wool sock on the camping stove by accident!"
Mike Dann, Member of winning Team ATP of the 2006 Race to the North Pole Polar Challenge. (VX001 Possum and Merino Expedition)
